Ocean Conservancy Love

I’ve posted this map before, but here it is in all it’s applied glory.  You can click on the image to get to the actual page, and from there, you can “Take Action” and show the Ocean Conservancy and our oceans how much you love them.

Great map! That logo in the lower right shows that it’s a product of the GreenInfo Network (http://www.greeninfo.org/index.html). They’ve been doing fabulous work for a long time, and the executive director Larry Orman is a conservation GIS guru. If interested, I interviewed him fairly recently (http://www.vector1media.com/dialogue/interview/interview%3a-communicating-spatial-data-for-public-interest/)

Matt, yes, this is definitely a GreenInfo map. And nicely put, I agree that Larry (our ED) is a conservation GIS guru. Though it doesn’t say it anywhere on this blog, I am the GIS manager in the San Francisco office of GreenInfo.

It’s a shame I didn’t get to meet you when you came in to interview Larry recently. I’m sure our paths will cross in the future though. Look forward to meeting you, and thanks for posting the link to the interview.
